Here are the ways in which you can participate:
Level 1: Just watch the stream: http://livestream.pralinen-festival.de/
Level 2: Watch stream and give applause to Gretchen and stream via emoticons: http://livestream.pralinen-festival.de/ - You will find the emojis in the lower part of the picture.
Level 3: log in to Zoom in addition to Level 2 and thus also be present via webcam in Club Gretchen and in the livestream and celebrate together with the online audience. Note: In the Zoom meeting, picture and sound will also arrive, but the stream may be more stable (http://livestream.pralinen-festival.de/). In this case switch off the sound in Zoom.
Can I still watch the stream online later on?
As this is an interactive concert experience, the stream will only be broadcast live and to the public on 07.03.2023. Retrieval at a later date is not possible..
Is there a support chat or hotline if something doesn't work?
No, unfortunately we do not have a technical support or hotline at the JENSEITS VON NELKEN UND PRALINEN FESTIVAL. There is a chat in the Zoom Meeting. Feel free to write to us there if you have a technical question and we will try to help.
How do I prepare for a great festival experience via stream and zoom?
Get together with your friends from all over the world! Hang up the disco ball, chill the champagne, connect the computer to the stereo and turn up the sound. Your living room, kitchen or toilet becomes a dance floor. You can zoom into the club via your webcams.
Projected onto large screens in the hall, you become visible to the artists*. You can see them, yourselves and us in the stream, dance with the artists*, celebrate and really get going and draw energy for the feminist women's struggle day.
• Watching: via external large screen, beamer or similar.
• Listening: via a stereo system, good speakers or similar.
• Join in: dress up, put on your dancing shoes, turn on the camera, design the background (video filters, etc.).
• All around: chilling drinks, fairy lights, disco ball, decorations...
...whatever you need to get in the mood to go out! Remember: all Zoom participants can see each other, and the artists* can see you too. And the more clubby everyone is, the better it is for everyone!
I don't want to actively participate via zoom, can I just watch the stream?
Of course. We will miss you, but of course you can also just watch.
Now I'm confused: What do I see in the stream? What happens in Zoom? Where is the difference?
In the stream you can see the live show of the festival from Club Gretchen in Berlin. In the hall, screens are positioned so that the acts on stage, the physical audience and the digital audience come together in the zoom meeting. So if you join the Zoom meeting you will not only see the concerts in the club, but also a part of the partying audience. At the same time, you can get the full see-and-be-seen programme: You can watch the stream like the others and also stand in the club via your webcam. All our Zoom participants will be rotated onto screens in the hall, so that the artists and the audience on site can see you and interact with you. You can also arrange to meet your friends at Zoom so that you can party together.
Can I get in touch with other festival visitors?
Your microphones are deactivated by default, so shouting loudly won't help. You can wave, but then a lot of people might wave back at you who you might not have meant at all. But that can also be nice. Holding up signs also works great and everyone gets something out of it. One possibility is the chat in zoom. Here you can post messages in the general chat. Your messages are public and visible to everyone. Private messages to individuals are not possible. Please follow our user instructions when chatting. If you harass, abuse or insult others, you will be kicked out. Just like in real life.
You've arranged to meet your whole gang at zoom and don't want to lose them in the crowd? You can pin up to 9 friends in your zoom meeting so that you can party together.
If I get kicked out of the zoom meeting because of unstable internet and disconnections, will I be able to dial in again?
Of course. It just wouldn't be the same without you.
I got kicked out and I can't get back in. What happened?
JENSEITS VON NELKEN UND PRALINEN is a place for togetherness, empowerment and positive energy. It is important to us that everyone can celebrate in a relaxed way. You're not quite sure how to do it, what's involved and what's not? You can find out more in our user instructions. I didn't know that, so it doesn't count. It won't happen again? Exactly: If you're kicked out the virtual door, you stay out. Because having fun is only when everyone laughs.
Do I need the latest version of the zoom software to participate in the zoom meeting??
We recommend it, yes. Zoom regularly releases new versions of the Zoom desktop client and mobile app to implement new features and fix bugs. You can also check which version you are currently using: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362233-Aktualisierung-auf-neueste-Version-aktualisieren
Some people in the zoom meeting have funny beards, hairstyles or sunglasses on, and there are palm trees in the background. I want that too! How does it work?
Several people have probably already asked themselves that. That's why others have already thought about it:
